This document is from your home internet provider (fibre, cable, home router, etc.): either a monthly bill for the service, or a notice about your contract renewal. The charge can include the line's base fee, provider fee and options, and requires payment. A renewal notice tells you that a contract period boundary (更新月, renewal month) is near, or that the price is changing. ⛔ Many internet contracts have a fixed term (such as 2 years), and cancelling outside the set 更新月 can incur a 解約金 (cancellation fee). The account holder of the home internet contract receives this from the line provider or ISP. It may come as a paper bill or as an email or online-account notice. If the line is built into an apartment or its cost is included in rent or management fees, you may not get an individual bill. Nationality does not matter if you hold a contract. ⛔ Note too that some solicitations or scams impersonate a provider by SMS or phone, claiming 'unpaid charges' or 'switch and save' — confirm via the official counter or online account.

- Will switching really save me money?
- Even if the monthly fee drops, a cancellation fee on your current line, a remaining installation-cost instalment, a removal fee, and the new line's installation or setup fees may mean no net saving. Before switching, ask your provider what costs apply and compare.
- If I forget to pay the internet bill, does it stop right away?
- It doesn't stop the instant the due date passes, but continued non-payment suspends the connection and restoring it requires a procedure. Pay promptly once a reminder arrives. If paying is difficult, contact the provider.
- I got an SMS or call about 'unpaid charges' or 'switch and save'.
- It may be a solicitation or scam impersonating a provider. Don't change your contract or pay based on an SMS link or a caller's instructions; check via your provider's official online account or counter whether it's true yourself.
